Operation report: “Life is feasible, but not without a Kramer” - Satzger family backs the KL30.8T

(Pfullendorf/Irsee, May 2020). The Satzger family from Irsee, a small village in Ostallgäu near to Kaufbeuren, has had a Kramer telescopic wheel loader KL30.8T from the premium range since May 2019, which is best suited to the flexible and daily application in their agricultural operation.

The Satzger family has been farming on their farm in Irsee for several generations. To be able to cope with the work in their yard and on the 300 hectare arable and grassland areas, as well as the 250 cattle and a biogas plant with 1.2 megawatts, they employ a further four full-time and three part-time employees. Since May last year, the Satzger family are the proud owners of a Kramer telescopic wheel loader. The KL30.8T is used flexibly in the yard and in one year has proven itself well by clocking up 1,000 operating hours. “The machine is there for everything and runs every day, both within the private garden and the daily work at the movable silo and biogas plant, for bale loading, mucking out and even when just road sweeping”, Mathias Satzger emphasised.

Materials handling with variety
The Kramer 8-series wheel and telescopic wheel loader sets a new benchmark with regard to technology, power and comfort. Modern engine technology, decades of experience and know-how in the development for the daily and demanding use in agriculture are combined in all models. The telescopic wheel loaders by Kramer are valuable wheel loaders with a plus in terms of reach, stacking and dumping heights. They not only open up new possibilities, but they can also crucially optimise the working processes to date. As a result, productivity and economic efficiency are clearly improved. The additional load-over height of 1,080 mm with the KL30.8T telescopic wheel loader is perfectly suited, for example, for filling high-sided mixer-wagons, all trailers or systems. Using the variable telescopic arm, the load-over height of up to 4,520mm can be implemented in the pushed out state. Using the increased load-over height, the existing load space can be ideally exploited. Optionally, the wheel loader can also be equipped with power hydraulics, known as the Powerflow, with which the user has up to 115 rpm available to them, for example for mulching equipment. The machine also has a tipping load of 3,300 kilogrammes and with this ensures the applied Z-kinematics for high tear out force and quick bucket dumping. The 55.4 kW / 75 HP Deutz engine with emission stage V enables the highest handling capacity in flexible applications and fast work cycles.

With the help of the pallet forks, a light-goods bucket and other attachments, the material can be reliably transported within the Satzger family yard and also with optimal stability, thanks to the typical all-wheel steering by Kramer. Even filling high feed mixer-wagons or systems falls under the prime discipline of the KL30.8T. All advantages of the Kramer machine: fast and secure turning, optimal vehicle width and the flexible steering types for optimal manoeuvrability along wall, score well here. Another plus point is the high-speed gearbox Ecospeed with a maximum speed of 40km/h. The ball hitch in conjunction with the appropriate tractor authorisation (both optional) makes the KL30.8T the perfect tractor. Thus, the working machines, tools, materials and attachments can be transported to their area of application on public roads. The Kramer machine is therefore totally impressive in its cargo handling within confined spaces in agricultural operation with the Satzger family.

Comfortable and flexible work with Kramer
The cab design has been completely designed for the operator's needs. Functionality, ergonomics and driving comfort were at the forefront. The generous head and legroom are prerequisites for fatigue-free work. Thanks to the step-like entrance/exit on both sides, the machine can also be safely and quickly exited for interim work, even when in confined spaces. Additionally, the KL30.8T is characterised by an optimised sensitivity in the machine handling, alongside the high standard of performance and comfort. With this model, the efficiency account has clearly been in favour of the user. Very appreciated and sometimes pivotal in the acquisition is the support of local agricultural engineering dealers on-site. The efficient Kramer dealer network makes it possible for customers to contact a reliable contact partner within their vicinity at any time.

“For our work on the farm we wanted a nippy, narrow loader with secure footing and good driving comfort. We found this in the KL30.8T. It is unpretentious and a thoroughly thought-out machine”, Mathias Satzger summarised.
