Strategic co-operation between Kramer and John Deere may begin

Kramer-Werke GmbH, a company of Wacker Neuson SE and John Deere GmbH & Co. KG, a group company of Deere & Company, USA announced on 6 July 2017 that they had entered into a strategic alliance for the sales organisation of telehandlers and wheel loaders under the Kramer brand for agriculture. The necessary approval by the antitrust authorities for Europe has now been granted.

Approval by the antitrust authorities granted

The agreement made between the Kramer-Werke GmbH, Pfullendorf (“Kramer”) and John Deere GmbH & Co. KG, Mannheim (“John Deere”) relates to the sales organisation of compact equipment from Kramer (“green line”) for agriculture. Now the responsible European antitrust authorities have given the go-ahead for this co-operation: The machines can be sold under the brand name and design of Kramer via John Deere dealers.

The market for material handling products in agriculture grows strongly. Kramer strives for sustainable and broad market access in agriculture through the close and long-term co-operation with John Deere dealer network. The models will be exhibited from 12-18 November 2017 at Agritechnica in Hannover together with the John Deere agricultural machinery and are already available in the market.

Wide range of wheel loaders and telehandlers

John Deere recommended its partners Kramer as the preferred supplier for the following product range: 13 all-wheel steered, compact wheel loaders and telescopic wheel loaders, as well as 9 telehandlers of the brand Kramer (6-9 meter stacking height) along with a large selection of attachments, accessories and spare parts. These products are developed and manufactured at Kramer location in Pfullendorf. “Through John Deere's capital investment in Kramer, we indicate our distributors how long-term and sustainable this cooperation is. With the blessings of the antitrust authorities it can now actually begin”, comments Cem Peksaglam about the approval by the antitrust authorities for Europe, who will shortly hand over his chairmanship of the board to Martin Lehner (previously acting chairman and technical officer of Wacker Neuson SE).

“The Kramer machines have been time-tested and proven in many livestock and arable farming operations as well as in service supply agencies,” explains Christoph Wigger, Vice President Sales & Marketing (Europe/CIS/North Africa/Middle East Agriculture and Turf Division) and continued: “John Deere distributors, who already had Kramer in their product range before our cooperation, have had very good experiences. The loaders are also the perfect addition to their product range for all other distributors.
