The agreement made between the Kramer-Werke GmbH, Pfullendorf (“Kramer”) and John Deere GmbH & Co. KG, Mannheim (“John Deere”) relates to the sales organisation of compact equipment from Kramer (“green line”) for agriculture. This product series is developed and manufactured at Kramer location in Pfullendorf and includes compact all wheel steer loaders (9 models), telescopic wheel loaders (4 models) and telehandlers (9 models) from Kramer. The range also includes a wide range of attachments, accessories and spare parts.
John Deere does not offer comparable machines and will therefore recommend its efficient, independent dealer network - initially in Europe, later also in the CIS states, North Africa and the Middle East - Kramer as its preferred supplier for such agricultural compact equipment. Both partners see great advantages and synergies in serving the growing market for material handling products in agriculture.
“With John Deere, we win the world market leader in agriculture as a strategic alliance partner to support us in our planned expansion. The newly created win-win relationship with John Deere will allow Kramer to expand its market position in agriculture more quickly,” explains Cem Peksaglam, CEO of Wacker Neuson SE and added: “The additional orders will accelerate Kramer's growth, in particular in those markets where John Deere has strong market positions.”
“The exclusive partnership with Kramer as one of the leading manufacturers for compact wheel loaders and telehandlers in Europe is of great strategic importance to us. We are confident that this will enable us to offer our agricultural distributors access to an attractive addition to our own product range. The Kramer loaders are ideal for our requirements for advanced technology and top quality”, explains Markwart von Pentz, President at John Deere and responsible for agriculture and turf division – Europe, CIS, Asia, Africa and Global Tractor Platform.
In order to stabilise this long-term, strategic cooperation, John Deere intends to acquire a stake in Kramer-Werke GmbH.
John Deere is regarded as an innovative supplier in agricultural technology and has one of the world's most efficient independent sales networks for agricultural, forestry and construction machines. Both companies intend to market the Kramer machines for agriculture successfully via the independent dealer network of John Deere.
The cooperation is subject to approval by the antitrust authorities.
