1925
Kramer is founded
The brothers Emil, Hans and Karl Kramer found the "First German Specialised Factory for Small Tractors and Motor Mowers" in Gutmadingen. Kramer quickly establishes itself as a manufacturer of agricultural machinery. In its first year, the company sells 33 machines.
1932
Diesel technology sets standards
With the GL 9 and GL 14 models, Kramer launches diesel-powered "Allesschaffer" on the market. The switch to diesel engines has a lasting impact on agricultural technology.
1939
Second production site
Kramer opens another production site in Überlingen, laying the foundation for further growth.
1950
20,000 machines produced
In its anniversary year, total production approaches the milestone of 20,000 machines. The K22 TH model becomes a major market success.
1959
Entry into the construction machinery industry
With the KS 510, Kramer starts series production of the first wheel loader with all-wheel drive.
1963
Quick-change plate redefined
Kramer is the first manufacturer to introduce the hydraulic quick-change plate, significantly increasing efficiency and safety on construction sites.
1970
System tractor with turning concept
The 1014 system tractor with swivel seat enables work in both directions of travel and is considered a pioneer of modern multifunctional machines.
1973
Focus on construction machinery
Kramer discontinues tractor and traction engine production and concentrates entirely on compact construction machinery from then on.
1982
Side-swivel bucket from Kramer
Kramer invents the side-swivel bucket and launches it on the market for the first time. The attachment makes working on confined construction sites much easier and remains very popular to this day.
1987
Wheel loader with all-wheel steering
With the Kramer 312 SL, Kramer launches the first wheel loader with all-wheel steering into series production. The undivided frame ensures high stability and manoeuvrability – a concept that has proven itself to this day.
1993
First telescopic wheel loader
With the 312 LEx, Kramer launches its first telescopic wheel loader, responding specifically to customer demand for greater dumping height and reach. Despite the higher dumping height, the machine remains particularly stable thanks to its undivided frame.
2000
Merger with Neuson
Kramer-Werke GmbH merges with Neuson Baumaschinen GmbH to form Neuson Kramer Baumaschinen AG.
2003
ecospeed transmission introduced
With "ecospeed", Kramer launches the first continuously variable fast gearbox in the construction machinery industry. It enables continuously variable driving from 0 to 40 km/h with optimised traction, reduced fuel consumption and precise control.
2005
New to the portfolio: telehandlers
Kramer expands its product range to include telehandlers and starts production for agricultural use.
2007
Merger with Wacker
Kramer merges with Wacker Construction Equipment AG. The two companies combine their strengths in their product ranges and sales regions.
2011
Smart Handling assistance system
With "Smart Handling", Kramer introduces an assistance system that detects overload situations and actively supports the driver.
2012
New compact wheel loaders
Kramer launches the new 550 and 650 compact wheel loaders, thereby expanding its product range.
2012
Return to agriculture
Kramer strengthens its presence in agriculture and returns to the agricultural segment with a broad machine portfolio. The machines reappear in the classic Kramer green.
2016
First electric wheel loader
The first fully electric, all-wheel-drive 5055e wheel loader is unveiled, underlining Kramer's technological expertise.
2017
Alliance with John Deere
Kramer launches a strategic sales partnership for wheel loaders and telescopic handlers for agriculture.
2021
Telehandler with a height of 10 metres
Kramer introduces the first telehandler with a stacking height of 10 metres, thereby expanding its product portfolio.
2021
Smart Attach introduced
With "Smart Attach", Kramer is introducing a fully hydraulic quick-change system. Attachments can be changed entirely from within the machine.
2024
DLG Gold for weighing system
The KT316 telehandler receives the DLG Gold Medal for its integrated, dynamic weighing system.
2025
100 years of Kramer
Kramer celebrates 100 years of company history and stands for consistency and continuous development.
