When comfort meets performance – Kramer at the Elztalhotel
A sprawling hotel complex, challenging terrain and a wide range of daily tasks require powerful and flexible machine solutions. At the Elztalhotel, the Tischer family has relied on the quality, efficiency and versatility of Kramer telehandlers for many years. The combination of comfort and performance ensures that everything runs smoothly throughout the hotel.
Two machines are currently in year-round use: a Kramer 2506 with almost 5,000 operating hours and a Kramer 2706 with over 600 operating hours. Both telescopic handlers perform key tasks in logistics, garden maintenance, energy supply and winter service.
Thanks to a wide range of attachments, the machines can be used flexibly. One focus is on loading work with the pallet fork. All goods deliveries are unloaded independently and distributed directly across the extensive hotel grounds. This saves time, increases efficiency and reduces external dependencies.
Every hotel needs a Kramer – we have two.
The hotel's own team also takes care of all the work in the garden and grounds. The Kramer telehandlers assist with tasks such as:
- Filling and emptying compost and soil boxes
- Removing and disposing of green waste
- Watering green areas using water barrels
- Cleaning the entire site with high-pressure equipment
A key component of the sustainable hotel concept is the in-house wood chip plant for heat and hot water generation. Here, too, the telescopic handlers are indispensable. The Kramer 2706 is additionally equipped with rear hydraulics and a PTO shaft.
All winter maintenance tasks, including snow clearance and salt spreading, are reliably carried out using Kramer machines. Due to the size of the site and the uneven terrain in places, manoeuvrability, traction and stability are key advantages. Several employees use the telehandlers on a regular basis. They particularly highlight the ease of operation, excellent all-round visibility and high level of safety in everyday work.
The decision to purchase a second telehandler was based on the consistently positive experience with the first Kramer 2506, which was purchased in 2011. Due to the continuous growth of the hotel and numerous renovation and expansion measures, the investment proved to be economically sensible and strategically correct.
